AzPANA

The President shall be the principal executive officer of the Association and in collaboration with the Board of Directors administers the affairs of the Association according to its Bylaws and Policies.

Works directly with the President over a two-year mentorship period to become familiar with the duties of the President. The Vice-President - President Elect may be asked to perform the President’s duties in his or her absence and assume the office of President at the end of their respective terms.

A team approach to the coordination and planning of the Association’s educational seminars, oversees the efforts of the regional planning committee, and provides guidance to the committee members exploring new avenues for education

Maintains membership roster and encourages qualified persons (nurses and allied health professionals) to apply for membership in the Association

Oversees the process and reviews the scholarship applications. Recommends approval of appropriate scholarship funds based on availability and criteria established by AzPANA Board of Directors.

Provides information about legislative issues regarding nursing and health care in Arizona, distributes appropriate information to AzPANA members, and to maintain an ongoing working relationship between AzPANA members and the Arizona Nurses Association (AzNA) and the Arizona Society of Anesthesiologists (AzSA).

Operates the AzPANA website as a repository for all AzPANA news, events, and updates.
